The people in this universe are dwarfs and known as peasants by the rulers, who so far has been the lords, recently the queen moved into town. The lords as well as the queen have special powers they can use to help the peasants and give them funny things or to hurt them. It can sometimes be understandable since the peasants were often will get in their way when they are trying to do something. So you should really try to stay away from them.
All lords and the queen are YouTubers, who records some of their videos on the server. Some livestream as well. When word gets out that they are on there's an increase of players on the sever and I can understand that. They are our celebrities and in many cases the reason for playing on the server. Maybe you could end up in a video on YouTube, but you could also be sent to jail or get killed and have to live the rest your life as a ghost. That sounds so wrong, but in Minecraft no one really dies for ever. True for most video games, I guess.
Why is it important in my life?
No, I don't chase the lords, or the queen. It's fun to see them now and then, but I try to stay away. I want to live as a living dwarf/peasant and not be a ghost. I don't want to get killed.
I like being a part of this community: to visit council meetings in my part of town, to read books by other peasants at the library, to visit events organised by other players for example Oktober Fest or the Haunted House at Halloween. There's going to be a masquerade ball and Olympic games. Some people have book clubs or poetry evenings, while other have theaters and set up plays. And let's not forget the Hoedown tournaments where brave peasants fight until death. Okay that may also sound wrong, but remember that death is not a permanent thing. But I suppose they will become ghosts...
It is a Minecraft server, but very different because of the community, the role play aspect and the fact that there is a steady flow of videos on YouTube to keep you updated on things that are going on. There's not a lot of grinding to get food or building material, there are sometimes monsters to fight, but normally not. Nights are not scary as in other Minecraft games, unless you play in peaceful, but that's usually quite boring. It's not like playing in creative mode where you have infinite blocks, break blocks with one punch and can fly. You'll need gold to buy your blocks and some food, you have to mine and dig blocks that you wish to remove. You can only buy the blocks that are specific for the district you live in and every district has it's own color palette.
If you don't have anything else going on when you're there it can be quite fun just walking around looking at all the amazing houses and things people have created. There's a lot of really nice builds and a lot of inspiration to be had from just walking around. Though I do believe some of the best builders have been made squires to the lords and shipped out of town to their respective home base to build amazing things for them only to enjoy. Wish they would sell tickets to go on guided tours to their bases now and then. The lords wouldn't have to participate themselves if they didn't want to.
I do also enjoy watching the videos and livestreams from the server, and maybe some of the lords other stuff if I have the time. Most of them are rather new as YouTubers or at least new to me, but I've been watching one YouTube channel for a long time. He's OldManWillakers in the game and BruceWillakers on YouTube. And he is one of the guys, if not the guy, who has created Lords of Minecraft, as well as other games. Another guy who makes sure everything works in this world is Nisovin, a gnome with magical powers and really a wizard with all those technical stuff I don't understand at all. Thank you guys for the server and for the videos!
Should I mention the others? I should at least tell you their names, right? In game names, YouTube names. There's Roamin, HCJustin, WastedTime more known as Deadbones5, Coestar, Spydster also known as Spyd, ElectricityMan also known as Slagar and queen Shay. We have a king as well, king Poose, but he has left the kingdom to the lords to rule over.
Anyway, I'm going to leave you now, maybe to go and play one of my favorite games at this moment. If you like Minecraft and have an account I'd recommend a visit at least. There's a link at the top of this post that will tell you what to do. Maybe you'll find that, like me, you never want to leave. Or maybe you're already there and we'll meet someday.
